The Water Element In Feng Shui

The Power Of The Water Element

Water is one of the Feng Shui elements. It belongs to the yin or the feminine side. However, if it flows aggressively, it has more of the masculine.

The absence of the water element when decorating a space creates an imbalance in your place. Using the water element correctly in your space will increase the flow of energy of wealth and abundance. It's the reason why it is called as another word for wealth.

In Chinese, water is called Shui. It symbolizes stability, honesty, and patience. Blue and aqua are the colours of water. Among the four cycles of the season, it represents winter. In the Bagua Map, it represents the Life Journey Sector or the Career which can be found at the bottom-centre of the map.

It represents wealth and luck. In the Feng Shui element, the moon and the mercury are related to water. It is also associated with the black turtle.

The water element nourishes the wood element. In the creative cycle, it is nourished by the metal element. It is controlled by the earth element in the controlling cycle.

Proper placement of the symbols or things related to the water element in your home can create an auspicious energy that can help you in your career. Using the water element in your home can harness the energy of this element and enhance the flow of chi.

Any shape that is wavy in your space brings this element in your space. Crystals, water and glass bring the water element into your place.

As much as it brings good energy into your space, the wrong placement of this symbols is considered inauspicious. So be very careful.

Do not place water features in your bedroom as it is believed to put out the passion in your relationship.

Make sure the water feature of your home is facing towards your home. The wrong direction of water means wealth running away from you.

Creating balance in your home brings good chi in your place. Along with the other elements in Feng Shui, use the water element to optimize the good energy in your house or office.
